Rachel Burton
Miss Rodeo Iowa 2012
Hailing from Irwin, Rachel is the daughter of Rowly & Deb and sister to Sarah.  A 2007 graduate of IKM High School she will graduate with a degree in Agricultural Education and a Minor in Animal Science from Iowa State University.  She was a member of the Iowa High School Rodeo Association, and 4-H.  At Iowa State she is active with the rodeo club and as a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

Prior to earning the 2012 title Rachel reigned as Miss National Federation of Professional Bullriders and earned first runner-up honors at the Miss Rodeo USA pageant representing the organization.  She also held the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa.

For her win Rachel was awarded a custom Running P Saddlery trophy saddle, a personalized Bob Berg trophy buckle, educational scholarships and a host of other awards.

In December Rachel will join other state titleholders from across the nation to compete for the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo America 2013 and for over $50,000 in scholarship awards.  Until then, you can find her crisscrossing Iowa and visiting other states including Colorado, Wyoming, Florida, Oklahoma, Illinois and Kentucky promoting and educating others about Iowa, rodeo and the western way of life.  Rachel will be sharing stories from her travels at her blog.
